Majortech will continue to concentrate on Archiving and Media Asset Management in 2004. We
have added multiple products to
support this area, which is increasingly important to all broadcasters.
With the consolidation of channels into individual facilities and the
fact that most broadcasters have automated master control areas, the
natural extension is to use this data. The requirement to store, browse
and retrieve data efficiently has become the focus of all Broadcasters
and in December 2003, Majortech implemented a system at CHUM Television

Media Asset
Management
matures with viable toolsets for broadcasters,
when Harris introduces Invenio, which already has many
large implementations
in Europe and contracts with major North American broadcasters. The
Invenio suite
is flexible enough to fit any broadcaster's requirements, from
stand-alone asset library
to full integration with automation or news systems.

Large Canadian
cable company
selects Omneon Media Server to store and distribute content.

Over several weeks
in early
autumn, Harris Automation conducts
Advanced Configuration Courses at
Majortech premises outside Toronto
so that local broadcasters can increase the capabilities of their own
staff
without the expense of travel to the standard California training
facility.
An additional course is also conducted in Victoria
for Western Canadian users later in the fall.

implements Automated Graphics for
9 channels at various broadcasters. This concept has achieved
the intended results of great savings in ongoing production costs,
as well as unearthing potential new streams for revenue.
Presentations made to CCBE and WABE conferences
in fall 2002 were enthusiastically received.

Convergence Marketplace April 2002 in Las Vegas.

Majortech achieves first
North American sale of the Graphite workstation (manufactured by Pixel
Power) with DDR for graphics use of video-clips. This feature has been
expanded on the upgraded Graphite-2 platform as
well as the Windows-based Clarity-2 platform.

Majortech sells North
America's first Clarity-HD to Complete Post. This system was
selected by
reputed editors as "Pick of Show" at NAB'99. Clarity has also been
selected by multiple facilities
to replace other less-functional HD character generators. Its power has
subsequently been upgraded
via the Clarity-2
platform.
